Ans: Since the question is very generic, I can only give a generic reply. For any apparel brand always maintain a balance between revenue, Gross margins and inventory holdings. If any of these goes out of balance, the business will be negatively impacted. So target getting scale for which you need to price your product well. Source at the right cost, so that you are able to maintain healthy gross margins - about 65%. Ensure that inventory holding is not more than 3-4 months. Fashion business needs freshness, so you need to add new styles every 30-45 days.

Ans: Banking is a very regulated sector in India and you will find it very very tough to compete with the current banks as well as the system to do it. What you are wanting to do May not even be possible withing the current system, where there is a cost of money and hence you cannot give interest free loans to people. Check out the possibility of doing this from the regualtory perspective, before anything else. Anyways I think it is a very uphill task even if technically possible. So I would suggest you focus your ebergies on something else

Ans: Franchising would require a minimum capital, so I would not suggest the same in your case. You can start really small without much investment. Just make one room in your house fit to be used as a creche. If you take care of the kids well the word will spread and slowly and steadily you can grow your venture. In the creche business getting the trust of the parents is the most important and for that you need to have empathy with them and treat the child with utmost care, like it is their own home. That itself could be your unique proposition as against creche chains where maids would look after kids.

Ans: Sorry, I didn't understand your question. If you are pitching to investors for money you will have to part with equity. I'd you don't want to dilute equity at this stage, start with the corpus that you have and build a bootstrapped company. Consulting does not need to much capital anyways.

I have over 20 years of experience in the quick service restaurant and cafe business, have practically worked in all MNC and national chains. I lost my job 5 years ago and havent received any offer also because of covid lockdown, i have exhausted all my saving and still paying home loan. I wanted to start my own cafe business and have also made my business plan, but not getting any investor. Checked the consultancy channel also but mostly all portray that they know it all. How can i raise funds

Ans: Hi Anil, It would be difficult to raise funds to start a cafe, except from friends and family. So if you are not able to raise through this channel, and do not have funds to start on your own, please drop the thought for now and actively search for a job.

Ans: Focus on your business growth. Any business should not look at creating capital assets in terms of land and building till absolutely necessary. So it does'nt matter if you are working from a rented place. Just rebuild your business and build a secure future for yourself. Take limited risks till you are secured financially.
